 HAD logo, lost wax.
I did this in my industrial crafts class, I still need to cut off the sprues and polish it up, but it's basically done.
It's about 30mm x 28mm x 4mm(at the center, 3mm at the wrenches).

Nice work. Of what did you make the original die used to cast the wax?

(1.21 gigawatts) / (88 miles per hour) = 30757874 newtons

How long did that take to make? I think it took a little over a week (about 40-45 minutes per day) to carve the wax and add the sprues. BillytheImpaler wrote: Nice work. I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but after forming the wax I attatched it to a rubber base which want on the flask, I then poured in the plaster, after that died the rubber base was removed and the wax was baked out. The molten metal was then injected my means of centrifuge. larryzotter wrote: Nice. Is it brittle?
No, it' seems pretty strong, the metal is from old keys that the school had when the locked were changed, and I think copper from a sheet.
Today I filed, sanded, and polished the face of it, which really lightened it up.

Any pics of it "freshened up"?

Okay, it's as finished as it's going to be right now, I might just end up going with the brushed metal look if it gets too scratched up.
Right now I have it as a zipper put, I used the wire from a twist-tie to attach it.

you should try to make one where the wrenches are actual usable wrench sizes

I thought about that after I cast it unfortunately. I would have made them spoke wrenches, which is only a little bit smaller than what it is now.
I would worry about the strength of it though if I had kept the design the same otherwise.

I would most definitely pay for that. Sweet.
